Key Points To Cover:

  • Basic Navigation: Learn the interface, including the toolbar, options panel, menu options, and panels such as layers and adjustments.

  • Non-Destructive Editing: Understand the importance of using layers and adjustment layers to make changes without permanently altering the original image. 

  • Layers: Create, organize, and utilize layers to isolate different elements within an image and edit them independently. 

  • Selection Tools: Basic selection tools like the Object Selection, Rectangular Marquee, and Quick Selection will be used to precisely select areas of an image to edit. 

  • Layer Adjustments:

    Learn basic adjustments like brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, photo filters and invert to enhance or change a photo. 

  • Cropping:

    Crop an image to specific dimensions or focus on a particular area. 

CREATIVE CONCEPTS

  • Blending Modes: Learn to blend different layers together using blending modes to create various effects. 

  • Filters: Flatten image and select pre-set filters from Filter Gallery to add creative effects to an image. 

  • Type: Add text to an image and customize its appearance.  Import text for more text options.
    Effects: Add effects like drop shadows, outer glows and more to your text or images to create depth and intrigue.

  • Export Images: Choose the appropriate file format based on the intended use.
